Clinical Viewer

This guide walks you through adding measurements and annotations to your medical scans, and shows how to explore data using 3D and multi-panel layouts in 3DICOM.

Step 1. Open the Measurement menu.

Step 2. Select a measurement tool, such as Bidirectional.

Step 3. Click and drag across the area you wish to measure and click again to complete the measurement.

Step 4. Click Yes to track the measurement.

Step 5. Open the Toolbar menu and select the Annotation tool.

Step 6. Click on the image to place the annotation, aim, and type your note.

Review your annotation in the findings list on the right.

Step 1. Open the Layout menu and switch between single view, multiple panels, or 3D views as needed.

Step 2. Use your mouse to pan and drag within each panel.

Step 3. Select the Zoom tool to focus on image details.

Step 4. Use Windowing to adjust contrast levels.

Step 5. Change each panel’s orientation (axial, sagittal, or coronal) from the control at the top left corner.

Step 1. In the Layout menu, select the full 3D only render mode.

Step 2. Rotate, zoom, and change the viewing angle directly on the 3D render.

Step 3. Select 3D Slice to turn the stack of images into an interactive 3D model you can manipulate within the workspace.

You will have measured and annotated your scan and learned how to explore it in both multi-view and fully 3D modes in 3DICOM.
